Swepstone and Snarestone

World War 1 Casualties.

Following the recent passing of Jim Clamp, the family came across some fascinating memories of some of our local men who lost their lives in the first World War. These, we believe, are cards which were used in the Church services following news of the soldiers losses, which give an insight into our village over 90 years ago.

I am working on a way of scanning them in a little better as the quality, when published is poorer than the original scans, however, they can still be read.

Click on each name, and then use your 'back' button to return.

My thanks once again to both the Clamps and O'Grady's for offering these to the website for all to share.
