Snarestone Village Litter Pick,
Sunday 9th March, 2008
"Many, many thanks to all who gave up their time, energy and, in some cases, blood on Sunday's Litter Pick. As you can see from the photos, your labours were not in vain.
It would be nice to think that, now we have broken the back of the problem in the village, we might all help out in keeping on top of the litter issue by picking up whatever rubbish is found lying around. If we can, hopefully, we may not have to spend another three hours as we did on Sunday.
We know that we should not have to do this, and we know we should not need to do this but, let's face it, if we don't, who will?"
